The great debate going around Facebook and the interweb this week is, Do you decorate for Christmas before Thanksgiving OR after? People and their opinions have gone so far as to unfriend you if you decorate before!! Say what?!
I’m just over here wondering if you prefer real or faux trees? And I’ll love you no matter when you decorate or which kind of tree you love! 🙂
We have a family tradition of going to a local tree farm and cutting down our own tree, and as far as traditions go its definitely one my favorites. We meet at my moms on the morning after Thanksgiving, in all of our festive Christmas gear, caravan the 30 minute ride 3-4 cars deep. The farm has a tractor ride that takes us out to where the trees are and each of our families searches to find their perfect tree. We see Santa, eat an ice cream cone (even when its freezing out!) and then head back to moms for Bobbi Sandwiches from the leftover Thanksgiving food.
Up until a few years ago I didn’t even consider the possibility of a faux tree, but then I got to thinkin, why can’t I have the best of both worlds!! My current faux tree is a Martha Stewart that I can’t find a link to anywhere(Very Similiar to #3 below) , I’m thinking it may be discontinued, but I rounded up some of my FAVORITES that I’ve seen this year. I’m definitely going to be welcoming #2 into my home this year. I just think flocked trees are sooo beautiful, and you really can’t beat that price.
