Ok friends, it is my favorite day of the week on instagram and I’ve decided to bring it to the blog as well!
Wannabe Wednesday is a day where we find other like minded girls on the gram and recreate their outfits. We search for the ones who inspire us the most and do side by sides in the same or similar outifts.
I absolutely love it for a couple different reasons

Women supporting women. I spent so much of my youth and young adult life feeling intimidated by other girls/women. I would look at them and think they were prettier then me, more outgoing then me, had better hair then me, a nicer car then me, a better body then me. It took me so long to be able to see the beauty in others while still seeing the beauty in myself.
I truly believe that this women supporting women community helped me get to a point in my life where I can cheer for others without feeling down about myself. I have so many goals and dreams that I’m chasing. So many things I want for myself, but I no longer feel discouraged or down when I see someone else who already has what I’m working for. I have finally learned to feel inspired by them instead of feeling intimidated by them. They are proof that it can be done. These women worked their tails off to get where they are, its not something that just fell into their laps. And as for the beauty aspect of it. There truly is beauty in every single shape size and color. Which brings me to my second reason for loving wannabe wednesday

Seeing the beauty in every shape size and color.
I don’t know exactly when it was, but I started following a few plus size blogger accounts. Seeing these women feel so incredibly confident and comfortable in their own skin was so inspiring. I have since then also started following several midsize girls, as well as lots of petite girls. And they are ALL so incredibly beautiful!!
I’ve never been plus size but I’ve also never been size 0 or 2 and sometimes I don’t even feel necessarily midsize. So I just always felt kind of lost in the sauce, and NEVER confident. Following these women has changed the way I feel about weight and size in general. And I think that the wannabe Wednesday series is so amazing because I could take that size 0 or 2 girl or that plus size girl or that mid size girl and copycat her look to showcase how their outfits work on my body type.
I’ve started following women from all walks of life. So many different cultures and backgrounds, all so beautiful in their own ways. And its such an amazing thing. To see them. To support them. To feel so encouraged and inspired and SUPPORTED by them.
This week, for my first wannabe Wednesday on the blog, I’m featuring a gorgeous mama of two boys. She works fulltime as a dental hygienist and still kills it on social media. I honestly don’t know how she does it! She is an expert at finding quality items at extermely low prices. And she loves Walmart as much as I do!
Heidi runs the instagram account @GroceryGlamMama. She started her account last year during the pandemic when her job as a hygienist was put on hold. She has since grown to a 17K + following and has been such an inspiration for me during my journey!
Heidi was my first Wannabe Wednesday on the gram so I saw it fitting to recreate another one of her cute affordable looks for a debut on my blog. Here is the very first Wannabe Wednesday I posted back in January.
Heidi has the cutest style and I felt that her tastes were very similar to mine. I saw this look and knew I had everything in my closet that I needed to recreate it!
Her instagram feed is GORGEOUS! She shares soo many amazing deals that are all still so stylish and cute!

I also love all her accessories!! She’s always styling her outfits with the cutest bags and sunglasses!! And every single piece she shares is so so affordable!!
I jumped in on the fun a few weeks ago! I love how you can create so many different looks with just one piece.
So finally to wrap things up, here is my latest Wannabe Wednesday inspiration for this week. I absolutely loved this casual look that she created and though it was perfect for me to wear during the transition from Spring to Summer. I loved pairing the denim shorts with the chambray top, such a cute way to have a denim on denim look without it being overkill.
