TWELVE a letter to my daughter on her Birthday

Today you are 12.

A year from now you will be considered an adult at amusement Parks and movie theaters, unable to eat off of the kids menu, and officially entered into the teen years.

But today, you are 12.

Slow down and enjoy the ride.

Live each day to it’s fullest potential.

Continue to love with all of your heart.

Forgive quickly and don’t hold grudges.

Smile often and smile BIG!

I hope you know that there is no dream too big for you to accomplish. NOTHING in this entire world is out of your reach.

You are capable of big things and I can not wait to watch as you check all of those big things off of your to do list.

If you come across people who are less then kind to you, make sure you are extra kind to them. Killing them with kindness will make you feel much better then revenge ever will.

I hope your soul stays pure as you trek through all of the stages of your life. Some of those stages may try to break you

Don’t let them.

Stay strong.

Stay brave.

NEVER give in to peer pressure. Those “friends” who try to convince you to do things that are morally and ethically wrong to you are not really your friends.

Though its a hard lesson to learn, I hope you hold your head high as you go.

There truly is no mountain too high, or road too long for you to cross.

I hope you try the things that terrify you most in life.

When times gets tough you show the times that you are even tougher.

Go with the Flow.

Don’t sweat the small stuff.

Work Hard but play harder.

Always offer your seat to your elders.

Open doors for others.

Go above and beyond to give and to help.

Treat your body with respect.

Never talk down to yourself.

Or anyone else.

Every day I hope you look in the mirror and continue to portray that same confidence I see in you today.

Dance like no one is watching.

And sing at the top of your lungs.

Live this life to its fullest potential Sophia.

Live it loud. Live it proud. And Live it for YOU.

I love you and hope you have the most amazing Birthday!!

My Heart
Dances with Daddy
I just love her sweet little face
She’s mostly smiling, but when she’s pouting she sure plays it well ..haha
Such a good Big sister
Character Day at school, She dressed as the Ice Queen from Narnia.
All dressed for the symphony but still wanting to get some target practice in
Doing her thing!
Soph and I playing around with Snap Chat Filters last summer 😉
And again this winter, I sure do love a good filter.
I think we could all learn a thing or two from Sophia. She’s silly and fun, but knows when to be serious and listen. She works hard in school but love to let loose and just have fun. She dresses to impress herself and not the current “fads” or because “its what everyone else has”. She’s a good friend. Honest and caring. She’ll tell you when she feels you’re in the wrong but listens intently when you speak your side. She can dress up and be girly but isn’t afraid of getting dirty. She has a love for life that.

I am one proud momma. <3
