January Recap

Good morning friends! Happy Wednesday!

We are coming out of a three day snow storm today with the possibility of more snow on Sunday! I’m a snow lover at heart, but also so so ready for Spring/Summer.

If you follow me on IG you know that I’ve really been trying to pick things up on that page a little more lately, which in turn has made me neglect this little space of mine which has started to make me kind of sad. I’ve poured my heart out on this blog for a couple of years now and I definitely don’t want to see that get lost in the sauce, so I decided I’m going to try to focus it on a little weekly/monthly recap of all the fun things we’re doing and the links that I’ve shared in case anyone missed them!

My January IG posts:

Wannabe Wednesday:

I was so excited to join along in the #wannabewednesday Fun! It’s basically a weekly IG series where you find another gorgeous ladies inspo and recreate it either with identical pieces or similar ones! I am absolutely loving the women supporting women vibes that go around! It just make ya feel so darn good to cheer for others! πŸ™‚

I started off with Heidi from @Groceryglammama. She has the cutest style and I just think she’s a rockstar for working a full time job, raising two adorable little boys and running her page! She finds some of the best affordable fashion!

Next up is one of all time favorite accounts to follow! Erin from @Fitbabeonabudget is so gorgeous and so down to earth. She is one of the kindest women I’ve “met” on IG and I absolutely love her content. She also shares some great healthy recipes.

And my final wannabe Wednesday for January was Nina from @lawoffashionblog. Love her content and also the fact that she’s an attorney! Total bad A** if you ask me! πŸ™‚

I really did have so much fun recreating these looks! Wednesdays are officially my new Favorite! Check out my IG to see who my first one will be this month! πŸ™‚

Accomplishments:

I think its so important to set goals for yourself. Daily goals, weekly goals, monthly goals. My main goal for the month of January was to venture out a little more with my IG, meaning showing my face more. Recording the try on’s that I’ve so badly wanted to accomplish. Basically just leaving my fears and insecurities in 2020! πŸ™‚ I am so proud of myself for getting out of my comfort zone.

  1. Posted 29 out of 31 days!
  2. Spoke on stories several time, by myself
  3. Recorded my very first try on! πŸ™‚

GOALS for Feburary:

  1. Be more intentional with each day
  2. Organize your schedule {Daily Checklists}
  3. 1/2 my bodyweight in oz of water daily {Check out Natasha from @nashvilltash for the challenege graphic}
  4. Log at least 15 workouts

Family recap:

Softball started back up for the girls this and Mike this month, they’re currently just holding practices twice a week, spaced out and wearing masks the whole time so its not the same, but its something! We have an overnight tournament scheduled for this Friday so we’re very excited about that one!

Cecilia and Cole started hybrid learning this month! The first time they stepped foot into an actual classroom in 10 months! They were both very excited for a little bit of normalcy. Sophia opted to continue learning from home, which we are 100% supportive of. As long as we don’t feel she is falling behind, we are allowing them to make their own decisions about it.

Sophia turned 14 on the 31st! We celebrated by driving all off the tristate area ordering fast food and singing at the top of our lungs! It was such a good time and I would highly recommend it! I live for moments like that with my teens! They are growing up much too fast and need me less and less so any chance I get to just let loose and have fun with them I will take!

Other then that, we’re still laying low around here. Taking life one day at a time and counting our blessings even through our struggles!

I hope you all have an amazing day!
